Textbook Distribution
The district and school staff manages the distribution of instructional materials to the schools.
Single copies of textbooks are sent in the daily mail. Larger quantities are sent in the weekly warehouse delivery. Please take delivery dates into consideration when requesting textbooks.
Teachers are responsible for materials signed out to them. Should a staff member transfer from one school to another or leave the school district, all materials are to be returned to the site staff member before leaving. If staff wishes to use instructional materials over the summer they must be checked out.
An annual inventory is taken each June, at which time the school staff account for all student and teacher materials borrowed during the school year. At that time, losses are assessed and replacement are ordered for the following school year.
Textbook Lists, Publishers and Vendors
This is the
list of 11-12 textbooks that have been adopted by PVSD. Many of our core subject textbooks can also be viewed online. Following are brochures providing that online information for your reference.
The school district provides one copy of each core subject textbook for each child at no cost, additional copies need to be purchased. See below for the textbook publishers and vendors if you wish to purchase any of these books for use at home.
