6th Grade Science

Welcome to Science! This science course will cover the topics outlined by the California State Standards for 6th grade science. The focus of this year is on Earth Science, which includes the study of weather, geology, plate tectonics, earthquakes, volcanoes, and ecology.
Homework will be assigned only when necessary and will be due at the next science class. Any assignment not finished in class will automatically become homework. There will be two to three projects per trimester which will be worked on both in and out of class. All guidelines and due dates for projects will be discussed in class and available on Google Docs. Also, students will need to read and write a report on one science article per trimester. All grades will be posted on Zangle in a timely manner.
