6th Grade Supplies:
As a public school, Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School supplies all regularly needed school supplies. However, for those students who do enjoy shopping for school supplies, listed below are the suggested and appropriate supplies.  These supplies are for History, English, Math, and Science.  Additional supplies may be suggested by your elective teacher once school starts.

THE BIG STUFF:
  • A backpack that will fit in your locker after you unload it every morning.  (No backpacks are allowed in classrooms.  Don’t buy a rolling backpack; they don’t fit in the lockers.)
  • A separate, small, padded laptop case to hold your laptop.  This will travel to class with you every day.  It should have a pocket to keep your power supply, pencil case, and headphones in.  Your power supply must ALWAYS travel to school with you!

THE NORMAL STUFF:
  • 1 – 2” or 2 1/2” Binder with 7 pocket dividers OR an expanding pocket filed with at least 8 pockets.  DO NOT BUY AN “A” DAY AND “B” DAY BINDER; IT’S TOO EASY TO HAVE YOUR STUFF IN THE WRONG PLACE.
  • 1 – sturdy, zippered pencil pouch that will fit in your laptop case
  • #2 pencils,  NOT MECHANICAL
  • Blue or Black ballpoint pens for assignments; another colored ball-point pen for correcting (red, green, purple, etc.  NOT YELLOW)
  • Colored pencils AND washable markers
  • Highlighters
  • 8 ˝” x 11” college-ruled notebook paper
  • 2   70-page single-subject spiral notebooks for math and science
  • 2 black speckled composition books for Language Arts and History
  • A small pencil sharpener with container to catch shavings (NOT battery operated)
  • 4 glue sticks  (these will be collected by Mrs. Knecht or Ms. Lejeune to be used for class projects)
  • 2 reams of white or pastel xerox paper for printing at school (One for your math teacher and one for your English teacher)
  • 2 packages of dark colored Dry-Erase markers for math – give to Mrs. Knecht for the classroom supply box
  • 2 boxes of Kleenex – one for Mrs. Knecht and one for Ms. Lejeune
  • A personal set of headphones kept in your laptop case in a ziploc bag
