The Camarillo Heights Parent Teacher Council would like to welcome all students and their
families to Camarillo Heights for the 2012-13 school year. The parents at Cam Heights are known throughout the district for their extraordinary commitment of time and talent to help their children achieve their greatest potential. We encourage all parents to help and our “2 Hour Paw Power” pledge is designed with everyone in mind. We welcome and truly appreciate all of your help!
What Is the PTC?
The Camarillo Heights Parent Teacher Council (PTC) is an independent organization of parents, teachers, and staff that work together to help the students of Cam Heights achieve their highest potential, similar to a PTA, but 100% of the funds raised stay at the school. The PTC meets the second Thursday of every month and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.
What Has the PTC Planned for 2012-13?
The PTC provides funds and volunteers to assist with the Art Docent program, Assemblies, Playground Equipment, Upper Grade School Play, Picture Day, Day with an Author, Speech Tournament, Field Trips, Women in History, Scholastic Book Fair, TAP (copying and other support for the teachers), Room Parents, Classroom Volunteers, Library Aides, Spirit Clothes, Student Directory, Bi-Weekly Newsletter, Carnival and many other programs.
What Fundraisers Will the PTC Organize During 2012-2013?
The PTC has two main fundraisers for the 2012-13 school year. Our largest fundraiser will be Jog-A-Thon, held in the fall and our second will be the much-loved annual Carnival and Silent Auction, which will be held in May. Our annual budget will be around $42,000 so that we may continue to fund our annual programs. In addition, there are Free Programs in which you can participate that also benefit Camarillo Heights.
How Do I Get Involved?
Look for the membership/pledge form that is in this packet. Please fill it out and return it to your child’s teacher. Remember, with our “2 Hour Paw Power” program, everyone can participate in some way. The PTC is a great way for you to get involved with your child and their school experience. I believe the more you put in to something, the more you get out of it. Let's make this a great year for our kids!
Welcome to the Cam Heights Family,
