All students receive a free T-shirt, Jog-A-Thon Bracelet, water & snack, and Certificate of Participation
Over the last 12 years, La Mariposa has proudly grown and established itself as a California Distinguished School providing high academic standards, quality education, and enriching programs to our children. Last year our Jog-A-Thon raised over $50K to fund the following:
The Music and PE Teacher Hands On Classroom Equipment and Supplies Classroom Computers and Technology Lab Equipment 100% Funding of all Field Trips, Assemblies, and Programs like Science Night, Red Ribbon Week, Earth Week, and Tiger Olympics Student Groups like Student Leadership, Geek Squad, Robotics, Speech Team, Rotary Track Team, Camarillo Academic Olympics, Peer Buddies, and GATE
We have lots of exciting prizes planned for this year! Individual Prizes for Students turning in total donations of: $ 10 - La Mariposa Pencil and Eraser $ 50 - LM ? + all the above $100 - Domino’s Pizza Party with Pizza, veggie/fruit, gold fish & juice box/water + all the above $250 - La Mariposa Travel Blanket + all the above $500 - After School Bowling Party for Individual Student & 1 Friend (pizza and snacks included) + all the above
Class and Grade Level Contests: The Grade with the greatest % of Students Submitting Donations gets a free recess with ICE CREAM! The Class in each grade with the greatest Amount of Donations raised wins the Class Tiger Award + a free recess.
