Music Mondays
Exploring a variety of musical genres, composers, and musicians is part of your student's week here at La Mariposa.
How it works:
The first day of every week is music day.
Step 1: INTRODUCTION - During morning announcement a brief description of the artist is read by our student leadership kids and a thirty second snippet is played school-wide via the PA system.
Step 2: EXPOSURE - Students are treated to music from the selected artist during their lunch break.
Step 3: CLASSROOM CONNECTION - Teachers back up the exposure with discussion or activities appropriate to their grade level.
Step 4: HOME CONNECTION - Links go out in the weekly email blasts so parents can extend the musical experience with their children.
