About Me
 
 16My name is Julie Hughes and this will be my 21st year of teaching. I teach third grade and have been part of the La Mariposa staff since we opened the school in 2002. I am married and have two children. My oldest son, Jack, is starting eighth grade at Sequoia Middle School in Newbury Park, and my second son, Christopher, is a fifth grader at Banyan Elementary School. Our family enjoys camping, bike riding, and going to the beach. This summer we went to Disneyland and California Adventure and spent time at the beach swimming and boogie boarding. I feel so fortunate to be a member of the La Mariposa family. It is truly a special place to be.
