  • 100th Day Sock Collection 2017
    La Mariposa 100th Day Sock Collection for Ventura County Children in need was once again a huge success. Teachers and students collected 1,768 pairs of new socks counted by student leadership. The community appreciates the generosity of La Mariposa teachers, students, and families. Thank you to everyone for supporting the 100th Day Sock Collection!

    Although this was not a contest, top classes included:

    Ms. Evans
    Ms. Davis
    Ms. Ryan

    All four classes collected more than 100 pairs of socks! 

    Every pair of new socks is important and meaningful so thank you to everyone!

  • Strategic Plan Stakeholder Meetings
    PVSD will be holding three Strategic Plan Stakeholder Meetings over the next few weeks. These meetings are an opportunity for parents and community members to share their opinions, in a group setting, about the District. Input will be used to help shape the strategic plan for the District as we move forward educating our 21st century learners.

    Meetings will be held at the locations and times shown below. All parents are welcome to attend at any of the meetings.

    Tuesday, February 28th from 8:45am - 10:45am at Monte Vista Middle School

    Thursday, March 2nd from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Las Colinas Middle School

    Saturday, March 11th from 9:00am - 11:00am at Dos Caminos Elementary School

  • Registration Timeline for 2016-2017
    Families wishing to register a new student for the 2017-2018 school year must begin the pre-enrollment process online.  Parents/Guardians MUST complete the registration process at their neighborhood school in person. Click here to begin the pre-enrollment process.

  • Box Tops Class ContestBox tops
    Collect Box Tops and earn prizes for your class! Starting now and ending Feb. 24. The top 3 classes (grade 1-5) that have the most box tops will win an ice cream party and an extra recess. Each grade level will compete for the coveted "Box Top Trophy" to display proudly for the remainder of the year. This is a class contest so teacher name is important!! All Kinder participants will receive a certificate. Please use the box top form. It sure helps when you are counting thousands of box tops. Turn them into your teacher or the basket in the front office. Every box top helps!!

  • Honorary Service Award Nomination Time
    This is your opportunity to nominate the individuals and/or organizations that you feel are deserving of an Honorary Service Award. Click here to learn more about the HSA program. Click here for the La Mariposa nomination form. Please remember that we are collecting nominations at the Council Level as well. If you know of a person or company who helps the children and our schools of Camarillo as a whole, please nominate them at the Council Level using this form. Nominations are due no later than February 28.  There are so many amazing people, organizations and companies that help our children every day. This is a great way to show how much you appreciate them! Thank you for your continued support to this wonderful program.

  • The Parent Project
    The Camarillo Police Department is offering The Parent Project for 10 consecutive Monday evenings (6pm-9pm) beginning on March 6th. Parents with difficult, defiant, or problematic children are encouraged to attend, however, all parents of middle and high school students will also benefit from this course. The content of this course address drugs, sex, gangs, poor grades, runaways, and violence. The course is free, however, there is a $30 fee for the course workbook.   • PVSD and PV Lions Club Run, April 30Peel Out
    The Camarillo-Somis Pleasant Valley Lions Club, in partnership with the Pleasant Valley School District, is proud to present our 18th Annual 5K, one mile Bananarama Run, and 1K Cub Run on Sunday, April 30, 2017. This day of health, fitness, and running gives runners three different races from which to choose. It will also include many wellness based vendors. The event will be held at the beautiful Camarillo Ranch House, and the 5k is one of the fastest 5k runs in Ventura County. As in the past, the 5K and Cub Run are pay for events, however, students can sign up for the Bananarama one mile run which is free of charge. If you or your child would like a t-shirt, the cost is $4. To register for this exciting event and see race times, please click on the following link
