  • Coffee with the Principal 
    Once a month, the Principal has an informal meeting with parents and the community regarding the state of the school, upcoming events, and future programs. The purpose of the meeting is to inform all the stakeholders of the school. Parents and community members are invited to express positive feedback. Any questions or concerns should be e-mailed to Mr. Borchard at least 24 hours in advance at kborchard@pvsd.k12.ca.us . Please click here for meeting dates.

  • Volunteer and Field Trip Driver Forms 
    Looking to help out in your child's class room, or lend your vehicle and driving skills to a class field trip? All volunteers and drivers must fill out applications prior to doing so. Please watch for the La Mariposa Volunteer Application that will be coming home soon; it is a purple sheet. The Field Trip Driver Form may be printed from the PVSD website, here.

  • Kindergarten Lunch Helpers Needed
    Lunch time helpers are needed to assist kindergartners with learning the lunch routine, opening up packages for them and ensuring they know where to sit and what they need to do. Helpers are needed from 11:30am - 11:50am from August 31st - October 29th. Click here to see open shifts and sign up!

  • Suggested School Supply Lists, 2015/2016 
    As a public school, La Mariposa provides all regularly needed school supplies. You can help us extend our programs and enhance the products students create in class by sending school supplies with your child on the first day. Needs vary depending on grade and suggestions are grade specific. Supplies are both shared and kept for individual use. Click here for the 2015/2016 suggested school supply lists.

  • Reflections 2015-16 Theme: "Let Your Imagination Fly"
    PTA’s national Reflections Art Program has brought the arts to life for more than 10 million students since 1969. California State PTA and its members, families and kids are on the forefront of this amazing program, which increases community awareness of the importance of arts in education.   • Coastal Cleanup Day, 9/19
    Take part in the upcoming 31st Annual California Coastal Cleanup Day event! Volunteers will remove debris from the coast, creeks, rivers, lakes and shorelines all around California protecting wildlife from harm while taking care of our environment. There are two cleanup locations in Camarillo: Calleguas Creek: Creekside Rd. at Paseo Del Campo; Meet at bottom of slope at entrance to creek bottom; and Mission Oaks Park Barranca: Meet in the parking lot of park located on Mission Oaks Blvd. at Oak Canyon Road.   • Healthy Lifestyles
    The PVSD Board of Trustees recognizes the link between student health and learning and desires to provide a comprehensive program promoting healthy eating and physical activity for District students. The PVSD Wellness page has some great resources for both nutrition and physical activity, even a wonderful section on local walking, hiking, and biking trails.
