The California School Surveys for 2017-18 are now available. Access the parent version or student version. Only Fifth grade students will be taking the student survey. What College Will Your Student Attend?
DCS is adopting a new college-bound culture! Teachers are implementing college awareness lessons and each classroom teacher is adopting a college for students to learn about. Click DCS College Sponsors to find out which college your student's class has adopted!
PVSD is planning for the 2018-2019 school year. Part of that planning is determining how many students will be enrolled at each school and each grade level. Intent to Return is now available online through Parent Connect. Please complete this electronic information for all of your students. For more information, please visit the Intent to Return page.
In an effort to be accessible to parents and community members who have an interest in knowing more about the schools in Pleasant Valley School District, we are pleased to announce that all schools will be offering monthly tours. Visitors will meet the Principal and see the campus in action. They will also be given information regarding Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, registration and any highlights for that particular school. Tour dates have been arranged so that there is only one school running a tour at that given time. Tours will run approximately 45 minutes.

Dos Caminos Programs
Music and Movement
We offer weekly Music and Movement classes to all TK, K, and 1st grade students. Each week these students dance, sing, and exercise to music through the leadership of Lindann Cheney, one of the founders of the Cinemagic program.
Dos Caminos offers its students a state-of-the-art Makerspace Lab where students can truly tap into their creative spirit while benefiting from STEM lessons provided by their teachers and our Makerspace Instructional Assistant. In our Makerspace, students can learn anything from programming, animation and green-screen technology to hands-on building projects.
Each week, TK through 1st grade students practice balance, strength, and agility via our gross motor skills lab. Students enjoy the benefits of Motor Lab thanks to our loyal volunteers, Mr. Fleishman and Mr. Hartnell.
Dos Caminos students benefit from our Ally Program. Students are taught to treat everyone with kindness and to stand up for students in need. Students and staff members are always on the lookout for someone exhibiting the traits of an Ally. Students "caught" being an Ally are recognized in Mr. Asher's office.
After School Art Club
Thanks to Dr. Arthington, Dos Caminos offers its 5th grade students an opportunity to participate in our After School Art Club on Thursdays from 2:00-3:00pm. Students learn a variety of styles of art from Dr. Arthington. No expereince is required!
Dos Caminos has a new outdoor classroom to provide teachers and students the opportunity to take their lessons outside. Our Outdoor Classroom is equipped with a number of tree-stump seats and a covered white board. Students are often found collaborating with other students or simply diving into a good book while enjoying this outdoor space.
Dos Caminos is one of the few remaining schools to still have a school library program. All classes visit our library each week to check out books and novels from our library collection. Thank you to Mrs. Wilcoxson for helping to keep our library going strong.
It's Your Birthday!
At DCS, we believe every student should have a special day on his/her birthday. Therefore, every day students' birthdays are announced over the loudspeaker during morning announcements and each student is called to Mr. Asher's office to recieve a special birthday ribbon. We don't forget birthdays over weekends, holidays, or even summer vacation!
