At the beginning of the 2017-18 school year Mr. Holtke personally challenged every K5 student to run or walk one-hundred miles during their recess / lunch periods over the course of the school year. Students are recognized with bronze, silver and gold medals for reaching milestones of 25, 50 and 75 miles. Students that complete the 100 Mile Challenge are awarded a technical running t-shirt as “bragging rights” for completing Mr. Holtke’s challenge. To date, 200+ PVSEA students are actively participating in the challenge.
To capitalize on the running movement at PVSEA, “Fitness Fridays” were created where Mr. Holtke run with all interested K8 students during their lunch periods on Fridays. Put on those running shoes and athletic apparel and join him.
My monthly message serves to highlight some of my favorite moments from the months of January and February. I attempted to capture some of the opportunities that brought a HUGE smile to my face. I hope that you enjoy these as much as I did! Click here to view this months message.
In an effort to be accessible to parents and community members who have an interest in knowing more about the schools in Pleasant Valley School District, we are pleased to announce that all schools will be offering monthly tours. Visitors will meet the Principal and see the campus in action. They will also be given information regarding Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, registration and any highlights for that particular school. Tour dates have been arranged so that there is only one school running a tour at that given time. Tours will run approximately 45 minutes please call the office to RSVP.
