  • 8th Annual Children's Multicultural Bookfest

    On Saturday, November 4th, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the 8th Annual Children's Multicultural Bookfest will be held at the Camarilo community Center, 1605 E. Burnley Street. This is a FREE event for young children and their families. There will children's authors in attendance and every child who attends will receive a free book! There will be entertainment and lots of fun activities.  For additional information in English, click here and for Spanish, click here.

  • Cafeteria News!

    National School Lunch/Breakfast Program: The online meal application is now available for the 2017/2018 school year. For faster processing please apply online. You may also obtain an application (one per household) from your child's school or at the PVSD District Office.   • LCAP Approved by County

    The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) has been approved by the Ventura County Office of Education. The LCAP outlines the instructional and financial goals for the Pleasant Valley School District. This plan was written using the input of staff, students, parents, and community members. Please take the the time to review our goals, as well as the plans we have set to reach those goals.   • Online Registration 

    Families wishing to register a new student for the 2017-2018 school year must begin the pre-enrollment process online.  Parents/Guardians MUST complete the registration process at their neighborhood school in person. Click here to begin the pre-enrollment process.

    Wellness Committee Meetings for the 2017-18 School Year
    The Pleasant Valley School District is committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle for our students. To send the right message and to help our students make good choices, teachers, staff, parents and students can all work together. Our Wellness Committee will again be meeting this year and anyone interested is encouraged to attend.  The meetings will be held at the Pleasant Valley School District office at 600 Temple Avenue.  They will begin at 8:45 a.m. on the following dates: October 12 and December 14, 2017 and February 8 and April 12, 2018.

    Youth Arts Academy

    Online Registration for PVSD YAA (Youth Arts Academy) classes start September 16, at 8am.

    Classes offered this fall are Chamber Music, The Off Beats, Beginning Strings, Intermediate Strings, Orchestra, Beginning Guitar, Intermediate Guitar, Beginning Keyboard, Art, Ceramics, Chorus.

  • PVSD 1:1 Learning 

    Today's learners are being challenged to think deeply in all subject areas, develop collaboration skills, and to demonstrate their learning in creative and complex ways. PVSD is committed to providing the best opportunities to students so that they can develop skills that will help them be successful in high school, college, and beyond. Additionally, the educational content of today's classroom is increasingly found online. To this end, PVSD will be providing a Chromebook to every 6th - 8th grade student for use at school and at home. Learn more here.

  • Board Meetings

    TeamworkRegular Board meetings will be at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. Broadcasting will start at 6:00 p.m. on Channel 10 for Time Warner customers and on Channel 29 for Verizon FiOS customers. Agendas are posted the week of the Board meeting.     Special Board meetings are usually conducted at the District Office. Exact location of the meeting is indicated on the agenda.
