During PVSD Child Care, program staff will create safe, nurturing and fun experiences for children.  The students will have the opportunity to make choices to participate in varied activities, which include:  arts and crafts, music and movement, academic support, science experiments, computers, group games, outside activities and center exploration.  Our curriculum emphasizes the development of a sense of personal competence and interpersonal skills, such as collaboration and problem solving strategy skills.

All Child Care Leaders are required to have at least 12 ECE units and experience working with school-age children.  Leaders and many of our Assistants are CPR and First Aid certified.  All staff receive extensive background checks and fingerprint clearance before beginning any work with children.  Staffing ratio follows state guidelines and is based on one adult per fourteen students.  Our staff has the unique opportunity to work closely with teachers and school site personnel to offer a program that is supportive of each individual child's needs.
