PVSD takes pride in serving nutritious meals daily to our students. We are firm believers that students learn better on a full stomach. We understand that parents are busy and may occasionally forget to pack a lunch or send in money; however, negative balances in student cafeteria accounts need to be paid in full at this time.
Beginning May 22nd, students will not be permitted to charge meals. All meals must be prepaid. All 8th grade debits need to be paid in full before end of year activities.
Online payments are available through ParentConnect at https://pvsd.vcoe.org/parentconnect/
If you are in need of assistance regarding your student’s cafeteria debt or have any questions, please contact Nance Shirley @ firstname.lastname@example.org or 805-445-8679.
Wellness Committee Meetings for the 2016-17 School Year
The Pleasant Valley School District is committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle for our students. To send the right message and to help our students make good choices, teachers, staff, parents and students can all work together. Our Wellness Committee will again be meeting this year and anyone interested is encouraged to attend. The meetings will be held at the Pleasant Valley School District office at 600 Temple Avenue. They will begin at 8:45 a.m. on the following dates: October 13 and December 8, 2016 and February 9 and April 20, 2017.
Today's learners are being challenged to think deeply in all subject areas, develop collaboration skills, and to demonstrate their learning in creative and complex ways. PVSD is committed to providing the best opportunities to students so that they can develop skills that will help them be successful in high school, college, and beyond. Additionally, the educational content of today's classroom is increasingly found online. To this end, PVSD will be providing a Chromebook to every 6th - 8th grade student for use at school and at home. Learn more here.
