Pleasant Valley School District schools will be closed on Monday, 12/18. After reviewing the most recent air quality projections, we have determined that degraded air quality, due to the Thomas fire, requires us to close schools. We will continue to closely monitor the air quality reports and keep you informed.

In an effort to be accessible to parents and community members who have an interest in knowing more about the schools in Pleasant Valley School District, we are pleased to announce that all schools will be offering monthly tours. Visitors will meet the Principal and see the campus in action. They will also be given information regarding Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, registration and any highlights for that particular school. Tour dates have been arranged so that there is only one school running a tour at that given time. Tours will run approximately 45 minutes.

Please join our PVSD Chorus as they perform for the community on December 19th at St. Columba's Episcopal Church, 1251 Las Posas Road in Camarillo. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and promises to be a lovely addition to this special time of the year. For more information, click here.

The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) has been approved by the Ventura County Office of Education. The LCAP outlines the instructional and financial goals for the Pleasant Valley School District. This plan was written using the input of staff, students, parents, and community members. Today's learners are being challenged to think deeply in all subject areas, develop collaboration skills, and to demonstrate their learning in creative and complex ways. PVSD is committed to providing the best opportunities to students so that they can develop skills that will help them be successful in high school, college, and beyond. Additionally, the educational content of today's classroom is increasingly found online. To this end, PVSD will be providing a Chromebook to every 6th - 8th grade student for use at school and at home. Learn more here.
