ATTENTION FUTURE SRTMS FAMILIES
If you are considering enrolling in SRTMS, we will have a night tour of the school on January 24 at 6:30 pm. This tour is for parents that cannot attend the day tour that happens every third Tuesday of the month. We hope that you can join us for this informative night!
Also, for those prospective new families who would like to see more of the daily classroom routine than the regular school tour provides, we are allowing a very small number of parents to quietly observe classrooms. This observation time will happen on January 24 from 9:00-9:30 am. Space is extremely limited and advanced reservations are required. Please contact the school office at (805) 491-3822 to reserve your space - once you see what happens at SRTMS, you won’t want to go anywhere else.

BASKETBALL COACH NEEDED!
SRTMS is in need of a boys’ basketball coach for our middle school basketball team. The team competes in the Camarillo Independent Sports League (CISL). The time commitment would be three to four hours a week, depending on practice and game schedules. If you are interested, please let Mr. Borchard know ASAP. We would like to have tryouts right after winter break, and there are a number of pieces of paperwork that must be completed before the season starts.
The staff has been working hard to refresh our technology standards. We have completed them, and want to make every parent aware of our new standards at each grade level. Our goal is to increase student achievement by redefining our technology standards at each grade level and by having our students strive to meet those standards. We hope the increased technology proficiency will lead to deeper learning and higher achievement.
MONTHLY SCHOOL TOUR
SRTMS is conducting general school tours for students and families considering attending SRTMS. The tour will showcase the school and what families need to do to become part of SRTMS. Tours will run approximately 45 minutes. Appointments are required and no drop-ins will be allowed. Please click here for the schedule of school tours and contact information to schedule your tour. SRTMS Tours occur on the third Tuesday of each month.
Volunteers are key to the success of students at SRTMS! Your support as a volunteer benefits our school community in a myriad of ways, and it also sends a message to children that you place a high value on the process of education. We thank you in advance for sharing your time, energy and talents. Please click here for the Volunteer Handbook that includes all the requirements and paperwork needed to become a volunteer. This year, we are requiring parents to sign an acknowledgment that they have read and understood all the volunteer requirements.
